Default password jdm or me????? wtf!!!!!!!

Just trying to figure out how the fuckk ive blown up to blocks in the last 2 months from password.
Setup: B20b stock block with stock b16 head.
Both died from from rod bearings and the recent on had no rod bearing to be found.
First setup lasted about a week. They replaced it because it almost immediatly was knocking. Motor was tuned immediatly by whittfield racing then a couple days later decided to knock like crazy..

2nd block- Felt alot stronger. Everything torqued to spec. only ran 91 octane and mobil 1. Friday i was driving home about 30 mins away from my house and the thing starts overheating randomly.Temp flucuates and then spikes up to 3/4 Hot. I quickly shut it down and get it towed home.
Got it home and drove it from street into garage. And motor had a wierd shaking to it. Not nearly as loud as previous block..
Check my oil and i have a very slight amount of coolant in oil. Lost almost none.

Did Compression check and got 1-4 180,145,170,180.
Pull the head to check it out and guess what? 2nd piston moves about a millimeter down when at tdc.FUCKKK!

Pulled the rod and piston out and there is no piece of rod bearing to be found!!
wtf? rod cap was on tight... Look in pan and only find small metal goldish flakes from the crank be destroyed. Even when i drained oil did not find any metal peices????? Just Flakes in pan which look like there from horrible crank on rod scraping. All other pistons and rods are fine..

Anyone ever spun a rod and found no pieces of it???? All spun bearings ive seen have been still lin rod cap.. WTF IS GOING ON???
Also wtf is up with no scarring to Piston or cylinder wall at all!!!!!!!????

never bought an engine from them, but password seems like a stand up business from what I have dealt with them. Bought a front end conversion and some fenders.

this dissappoints me too, I was thinking of buying the same engine from them when I am ready for my swap, but I think i will go with Hmotors instead. I probably would have gone with them anyway, but still, one less option.

dont give up man. thats some shitty luck, but you have gotten some breaks, you were able to get your car back, you got a replacement engine when the first blew, just think how happy you will be when you get everything fixed

I cant wait to get my car the way I want it, CRVTEC and all.

for starters b20vtecs are a waste of money they will always be unreliable. To the OP I would try contacting password again. I have never heard of a bearing just totally disapearing like that, however if there was no bearing to begin with it would have knocked right from the first time you started it up. good luck

Yea man ill definitley be giving them a call even though i know they wont be of any help. The fact that i cant find a peice of metal bigger then a flake is the big stumper. And all the flakes look to be from the crank. Also how the hell was i cruising on the freeway with no knocking noise when i started to overheat. Then after i got it towed i drove a whole 5 feet and the bearing is missing?????? wtf.

well a while back my depo switch went out...(bought the depo fogs when i was a noob haha) yes bad mistake should of gone OEM. Anyways my fog light switch burns out and i call password to see if there jdm switch works. The guy says yes it will bolt right up. So i think to myself okay this looks like a good shop i should believe them. Like any other ht member you have to do your research right? i find out they dont bolt up...not even the oem usdm switches bolt up to the depo harness. Only the depo does. So basically i got some bad advice. A couple months later my buddies and i went to pick up some jdm 1 piece headlights for my roomates DA. WE get there and they want $180 for a set. Thing was the driver side was clean as hell, but the passenger side was fogged up and had the yellow stains (from sunlight) on them. We asked for another passenger side head light and they said they had none and these were the last set. first of all they should of told us one headlight was fogged up and had yellow stains on them. If we would of known we wouldnt have drove 25miles to pick them up. The guy we were talking to said they would buff it out for us but not at the moment becuz they had no time and also they would charge us for it....bull man...bad customer service! Now imagine if your out of state and they ship you this item? it would suck *****.

Also a while back about 1 month ago there was guy who posted about one of passwords strut bars. I"m not sure which one but he said he spent over a bill on it and quality sucked ***...it would bend at ease. no joke ppl...

i mean not everybody has had the experience i've had and some people do say there products are quality...but hey this is just my experience with them. Gave them a second chance and they still disappointed me....

prieces of the rod probably ended up in the oil filter. Had that happen once, but still could see some in the oil, but the filter was LOADED with shavings

Its not you. They get the worst motors i have ever seen and this has been going on for years. Back in 04 i bought my first GSR swap for my car and right on start up we had a rod knock. Didnt drive it or anything because it would make it worse. Took us a month and half to finally get our money back from them. It was such a waste of time.

Next i have had customers bring me motors from them and i tell them about my story, i crack open there valve cover to look at it and it looks like the oil hasnt been changed for years while the motor ran. Now whenever someone ask about their motor i only tell them to get it if its going to be completely broken down, resleeved and rebuilt because there so cheap.

Also its not just Honda motors. I knew someone that bought a complete S13 front end from them and the oil pump took a **** along with other parts. Given it is a pump and should be changed its still not right.

People that get good motors through them are usually buddy buddy with the guys.

Password motors
