Default What Transmission for AUTO 00 EK?

I've got a 2000 AUTO EK and it needs the transmission replaced. I am wondering which auto transmission(s) will work in this chassis as a P&P operation. I'm just looking to use the car as a DD for a little while before doing anything more to it. So, I'm not looking to do a Manual changeover.

So, WHICH year civic Auto transmissions will work for this? Will ALL OBD2 Civic Auto trans work? Or will only the 99-00 transmissions due to the OBD2a vs. OBD2b?

Thanks in advance, guys?

So, OBD1 vs OBD2 doesn't matter? I'm mostly asking about the sensors, etc. I KNOW they'll bolt up....but which will plug & play w/ no CELs?

That sounds right, but I'm not 100% certain.

I just replaced the auto tranny in my 98 ej8 last week. I got one from a local junkyard with low miles for cheap. The tranny I got was out of a 2000 ex. I do know 100% you can use any auto tranny 96-00. The older OBDI autos I am not so sure on. You might not be able to find one that old with low enough miles anyway.
