Anyone have experience with the aftermarket soft tops that you see on ebay with the glass window and a 5 year warranty? They look pretty good in writing, but how do they fit? I wanted to get a soft top with a glass window because i HATE my plastic one. I was mass-debating either getting one of those, or just getting a hard top later on...but im still not sure, so i figured i'd look into it.
Anyone have any experience with those mothas? If so, please state your brand, etc. I just dont wanna buy something thats guaranteed not to tear for 5 years, but fits like garbage.
BTW dont nag me about getting a hardtop blah blah i know its BAWWLLLINNN but i dont know if i wanna throw down $2800 on that or something else. even though i am BAWWWLLINNNNN.
I'll stop now.

heres a link to the s2ki thread on diy glass soft top http://www.s2ki.com/forums/ind...48840 that the dude got off of ebay its prolly the same one you are looking at after the dude was done putting it on it looked decent. i was down at the races this past weekend just decided to drive by on my way home form work it was like 1am but anyways i saw this ap2 just chilling in a parkinglot waiting for shiz to go down so i pull up next to him and we start talking about his s anyways the point of the story is his top was cut o he got an ebay one and put it on the fit looked ok but didnt look as good as oem plus had a lot of wrinkels like it just came out of the dryer i just dont think he gave it time to settel in and stretch out b4 he started putting it down thats y i think all those wrinkels are there. anyways let me know how it goes because im planing to do the same to swap my top with the glass window towards the end of summer
I just installed one myself this past weekend. Bitch of a job. But it does seem to fit fine. There were a couple wrinkles at the end of the install, but after it's first day in the sun, it looks perfect.
Oh...it is a Robbins Top. Bought from Topsonline.com for $515 shipped. They sell on eBay too. You have to call them to order the glass conversion for the ap1. Their website only shows the plastic replacement.
