Default fair price for a 5 lug conversion??

hey guys, i have a complete 5 lug for sale with everything ready for the swap including steel braided brake lines for a 96-00 civic. the tires and wheels are in good shape, about 95% tread on tires.. and the wheels are powdercoated black... im asking $1800, does this sound fair? jdmhondaparts sells it for $2000...

that sounds about right, except some people may not want powder coated wheels and prefer one of the honda colors.

but most people wouldnt pay that much.

yea, but the white wheels were scratched, so i had them sanded and smoothed, then powdercoated.. they look good.. and 1800 seemed fair to me...

most of the time they sell for 1,500 - 2,000, with good tires i'd say your price is fair.

truthfully, that's a high price. I wouldn't pay more than 1500 with rims..unless they are the JDM ITR wheels..
in that case, maybe you could get the price that you are asking.

Also, JDMhp.com and any other retail website is going to have higher prices than someone selling them used

does your 5 lug come with EVERYTHING. every damn bolt.. because the some parts of the 5 lug conversion use the anodized bolts from acura, and those are like 5-6 bucks EACH lol.

brake booster, master cylinder, 99-00 civic si proportioning valve? the ITR prop valve wont work because of the ABS

I paid the same amount after all is said and done...but 1200 is a friggin deal with rims and tires..you have to admit.

1500 is the going rate with rims/tires.

heres what i posted in that other thread:

average 5 lug with the wheels go for 1500.
i then sold my si wheels/tires for 350
i then sold the ITR shocks/springs/sway bar for 300 since they dont fit on 96+ hatches (besides the sway bar + mount kit)
i then sold my old drum set up for 100.
350+300+100=$750? doing this from the top of my head..
1500-750= $750 after all is said and done

$750 for some nice brakes, for some nice wheels, and an extra lug that is 75% for looks.. 25% for help in autox..yes it reduces stress on the other 4 lugs slightly. but those with the 4 lug are going to hate and say "wtf yeah right.. blah blah".

you know you dont need them if you take off the abs sensors on the models that dont come with abs brakes... then you wont need that stuff. just incase anyone was wondering.. works fine like that.

what are you talking about? you dont NEED them, but you'd WANT them to get the full effect of the 4 wheel disc braking.

si prop valve is made for 4 wheel disc braking.. the cx/dx prop valve is NOT.
believe me, i've had the 5 lug conv. with the cx/dx prop valve and it's not even close to the potential

there's more potential with the prop valve , makes a difference .
jonas , what year did you get of prop valve 99 or 00 and was it straight bolt on ?
