HELP. my first 'noise.'
coming home from work tonight i noticed a noise coming from the front of my car. almost sounds like playing cards in bicycle spokes. i only hear it when i'm moving, neutral or in gear. i got out, looked around under the car with my flashlight, didnt see anything abnormal. nothing rubbing on any of the tires/wheels. it runs great, trans is smooth in and out of every gear. i cant think of anything. anyone have anything in mind or have something similar happen? any ideas would be appreciated. TIA.
Anymore info? What general area is it coming from?
Is this on the B18 w/ stock tranny?
edit: BTW, don't ******* bump after 12min. You've only had 10 views.

i bought the car back in october, so i havent had it very long. previous owner tells me its an act 'stage 3.' not sure of the specifics, the motor only has about 70,000 miles on it, so i dont think the clutch has many miles on it. i was leaning in the direction of a bearing, sounds pretty typical... the faster i go the faster the noise gets; almost gets to like a whirring sound, like a wheel bearing but not quite as pronounced.

tap tap tap pistons
or axle if the axle is broke you can still drive if it is the driver side... and will even make the noise if you are in neutral

no, the engine is fine. it ran great on the way home. sounds completely normal when i'm revving it. could be an axle problem, but i'll have to wait until tomorrow and put it up on a lift.
doesnt sound like the motors in those videos ^^
