My climate control does not light up when I turn on my headlights. When I push one of the buttons in, the little light on the button will light up, but none of the others that indicate which button is which. The car is a 96 DX hatch if that matters.

Thats what I thought, but aren't CC lights on the same fuse as cluster lights?

I guess I'll go out there now and see what I can find.

I'm sorry I've never disassembled my dash before, I have never had to do it, thats why I came here and asked. I didn't specifically ask you to explain to me step by step how to do it, in fact I didn't specifically ask you anything at all. Just some simple information is all I'm asking, that is what this forum is for, so get off your ******* high horse and don't post if you don't have anything relevant to contribute.

if you are going to try to change the bulbs for your climate control, this link will help, its for 92-95 but it'll definitely give you an idea of how to go about doing it, i'm not familiar with 96+ so i'm unsure if the process will be exact.

You fail at life. If you read the post above you would've known that.
OP, I reall think it's a connection issue. It is HIGHLY unlikely that all your bulbs burnt out, however; do not rule it out as a possibilty. Anything is possible. I can safely say the fuse that controls your dash/CC lights is fine, if it wasn't your dash wouldn't lit up.
Tell us what you find when you fix the problem.

Hi.
JDM-EJ1 speaks the truth, I concur, it is probably a bad connection. Check the dimmer switch area, my car does the same thing, but when I tap on the dimmer switch, it comes on.

your a "tard" for thinking that all the bulbs magically burned out at once. Your also a douche bag.

LMFAO, everytime I read it, I laugh. You=**********, classic. OP, dont disassemble your dash just yet, its an unecessary PITA right now, look for a bad connection first.

Contrary to what you think you're not cool.
I've owned several Hondas as well and replaced the CC bulbs on two of them to make my CC illuminate amber. Both Civics were using the OEM bulbs that came with the car from the factory. One car is 15 years old, the other is 13 years old. The CCs both lit up fine to that point from me making it amber.
I strongly believe you're lying or providing false information to the OP. For future reference, for the sake of all the Honda-Tech technical forums; I would suggest knowing for fact before you post things up. Thanks.

Who the expletive do you think you are?
Let us all give a round of applause because you have owned several japanese economy cars and have somehow maneuvered your computer to find a website where you can flaunt your knowledge of dissassembling dashboards. You still type like you have epilepsy and make completely irrelevant elitist comments that I'd expect to hear out of a special olympics gold medalist.
You are no longer needed in this thread, thank you for the magical journey through a sea of intelligence that you brought us all on when you posted in here.

Yeah, thats what I thought too, I could understand one bulb being burnt out, but I didn't think it was likely that they'd all be out at the same time either. I'm going to mess with it tomorrow evening and see if I can find any bad connections. I have never had a close look at the bulbs before, when I see one, will I be able to immediately tell if its good or not? In other words, will I be able to easily see if the filament is broken?

It's been about a year since I changed my bulbs out. But basically, pull the climate control out and once you have the face off you'll see two bulbs. I'm assuming you've never changed them by the direction this thread has headed in.
The bulbs will have a blue 'condom' like plastic over it. It may be hard to pull it off, but if you're able to get it off I'm sure you know what to look for in the bulb to see if it's broken? If not, PM me and I'll help you.
If the bulbs appear to be good, you'll want to check the connections. There are basically two wires that run into a brown seat that the bulb sits in. Make sure the bulb is seated fully. You'll need to make sure the use both hands, one where the wires run through, and another finger pressing the bulb into the seat. If you don't do this you'll shove the bulb/seat through and it is kind of hard to get it back in there.
If everything checks out with the bulbs and it's fully seated in there. You'll want to start checking the wires themselves. If any of this doesn't make sense, please PM me and I'll walk you through it.
