hmmm lets talk roller rocker setup
about to purchase a set and im getting lots of conflicting info but the people that actually use them have nothing but good things to say..what ya think bout them in a street set up car (sfwd style car)
Unless you are going for an insane cam/head setup, aren't they kind of a waste for an OHC motor? But you said it was for a "street setup," and usually people don't run extreme cams unless their car is solely a track car.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

i pmed ya.. like i said i could car less about idle i will work with that i am used to extremley harsh cams in american cars ive had over the past 20 years ..main thing is how they feel and are they worth it in your opinion ?does your car get any street time at all ?weekends maybe ..how often are you adjusting them?ive talked to a couple peopel and they say they love them they are streetable and they get them to idle ...tdautowerks just did a riteup about them and a vid of themm on the dyno driveing and idleing

I think you're talking about the TDAutoWerks white EK. They just won the Moroso NHRA event if I'm not mistaken. They actually posted about how it felt to drive the car on the street w/ that roller rocker setup. In conclusion I think they said it wasn't that fun on the street unless you like harsh driving conditions.

Some grinds work, some don't. The ones i tested this year were down close to 100whp from the itr's. Also, the old rockers have issues flexing, make sure you get the new rockers.

wich cams are you running with them the street or race ?
wich cams are you running with them the street or race ?
i love mine. they idle fine, just sound like an agressive all motor cam. part throttle is a result of 1600's, however ive never run anything smaller than those with this cam set up. i also have the older version of the rocker set up with no problems, however i will probably upgrade to the newer stuff eventually.
i check valve adjustment and timing belt tension very frequently but have never had any problems. we did the rocker set up mainly for reliability since the car would be making big power at very high rpm on a regular basis.

also what valve train is being run with these set ups i usually run crower dual spring tit retainers and ferrera valves cause i like thata combo any one running simular set up ? any probs?
I think those crower retainers are junk. Let the keeps pull through. I use the ferrea. As for springs If your gonna run the turbo cams with 13mm of lift and alot of boost your gonna need a spring that can handle the lift without bind and have about 100lbs at the seat.
Use the Ferrea valvetrain. We have used the Crane/Ferrea rollers and never had a problem and always made huge power as long as you have a good head to go with it. If I was building a SFWD car for myself I wouldn't have anything else.

you lost 100 whp when you swaped out the itr cams and put these in??

Yes, that's what i said. There are a lot of different grinds on those cams. Don't assume the roller setup automatically makes power. If the cam is wrong, then they won't work well. Make sure who ever you're buying them from has some experience with what works.
How many different cams do they make for the roller rocker setup?? This is news to me. I didn't know anything about the race or street cam.
Is there a turbo(race and street) and/or allmotor(race and street) cam?
Is there a turbo(race and street) and/or allmotor(race and street) cam?
i was looking at the crane exclusive for ferrera i seen only 2 sets street, and race but their are other cams that can be used ima stick with what ive seen work wich is crane ..im not really looking to buy the cams for the reason of makeing more power (soely) i have a bare head from dpr and i need cams and rockers to complete so i figured its either this or dealer and this is cheaper..and im sure they will make more power
