well i am stumped and i need your help guys. i don't have fuel going into my motor.

i just installed ITR motor with a boomslang harness. i am running a chipped p28


i tried starting fluid. it start for a second! i think that would mean that i am getting spark.

i took the spark plug out and grounded it to see if it sparked and it did.

i smelled the spark plug and i don't smell gas at all.

i took off the fuel line from the intake manifold and watched as the gas spill out.

i am stumped!

please point me in the right direction.

check power to fuel pump? check fuses? sometimes gas comes out because there is already pressure. Are injectors clicking?

 

funny thing is i can't hear the fuel pump. but i know its working because everytime i take the nut off the fuel rail, gas sprays everywhere. its happened 3 times. (i only checked that much because well i wanted to triple check.

also i turn the key to ACC and gas comes out.

i checked all the fuses ( is there one i should be looking directly to?)


for the injectors to click does my car need to be turned over?

if so i need a friend to help me out then.

the only pleasure i get is hearing my car start for two seconds when i spray starter fluid into the throttle body.

 

double check all your wiring? checked grounds? >> valve cover, thermostat housing and tranny?

yep i checked all those.


thats my set up.

anyway... i am like 90% sure it has something to do with the injectors. with all the cranking i have done, i should have smelled some gas on the spark plugs but there is still none.

i think i have to check the injector wiring again.

 

MAIN RELAY!

its under the dash, under the coin tray.

 

Check those grounds again for sure the battery one is wrong for the neg- battery term needs to be all one line to the battery dont ground it to the mount your on the right track just alittle off and scrap some of the paint from the grounds for better contact...MOE@HYPER16VALVE...

 

i didn't get a chance to try the grounds or the main relay yet.

i resoldered the main relay for kicks but didn't try it out yet....

BUT.....

i have a Boomslang harness.

and a p28 Chipped ECU...

So today i plugged my ECU into a 95 integra and it started so i ruled out ECU

BUT!!! i tryed the harness and ECU on a 1991 Integra DA AUTO... and it did not start.

so my question is DOES A MANUAL ECU WORK ON A AUTO CAR? i know it doesn't have shift points but will it start?

 

do you still have your resistor box plugged in? i think the ITR has saturated injectors. if so you need to loose the box and connect the wire together the itr harness should have come with a cap that you can just plug into it.

also once i swapped a b16 into a dx. i used the stock fuel rail banjo bolt to attach to the b16 fuel rail. it didn't line up right and the engine didn't get enough fuel so it would start for a second and then die. i switched to the b16 banjo bolt and everything worked fine.

no i do not have a resistor box. i de pinned it and connected it to the plug like you mentioned.

on the second part i am a little on confused. are you talking about the stud on the fuel rail or the weird looking cap that goes on to the fuel rail end?

#4 where it slips over the stud in the fuel rail and you should use the same bolt that came with the fuel rail.

 

yeah the guy cut it off and half of it was on the fuel rail . i'll compare the two ends to see how they look.

Nope no luck yet....

I Re-soldered the main relay....nothing still

i changed the injectors. nothing still.

i thought that the motor has been sitting for a while the injectors were stuck but no


anyway i tried to hear the injector CLICK with a screwdriver but i can't hear it over the Engine cranking....

any idea guys?

i think thats the problem.

i provided 12 volts to the injectors while not bolted on to the intake manifold. so basically the fuel rail bolts were removed so i could see the injectors while there were still in the fuel rail. and i saw them spray.

so i am not getting volts to the injectors.

so i think its either my obd0 to obd1 conversion wiring harness from boomslang.

my ecu works so thats not a problem

my main relay works. i resoldered it

my fuel pump works

 

your boomslang harness is junk.. i have had a couple .. and i have fixed a couple.. its pined incorrectly.... try another harness i bet your ride fires right up.. .

well i just purchased a rywire harness so lets see the verdict on monday

 

OMG.... its not the wiring harness.

i bought a rywire and still the same thing.

i regrounded somethings but still nothing.

its still fire up with freaking starting fluid but for some reason the injectors do not spray.

please somebody enlighten me on what to do or change or check!

did you change that banjo bolt?

check all you fuses!

 

recheck the wiring on the injectors clips. i tink it should be same color to same color. and where they went to the box they should all be connected to each other.

ummmm i didn't want to answer because it would make me seem like a fool but i have a multi-meter and i have no idea how to use it. i know i know shame on me but there is some many settings that i don't know which one is which.

gosh i feel so noob when it comes to wiring and electrical work

 

When you turn the key to two (ON) . Do you hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds... then shut off?

When you say "watched as the gas spill out" did it flow out or drip out?

As for the injectors... You need to test and see if there is power there... a test light will do it... and so will your muti meter... Should be simple .. take some time and mess around with the multi meter on your battery... .. and check for readings tell you get a volts reading .. like 11.4 or 12.8 volts.... then keep that setting and ground one end.. (black).. and stab the injector wire..(red). check or a reading..

Also.. check for a reading while cranking the motor... it should palse.. with a readings. .. hard to explain.. i tired.
