I am curious what's meant by "American."
White people? Including Canadians, or not?
Would fourth generation Italian be American?
Would African Americans of ancient lineage by American?
I'm not sure that "American" tells us much at all.
Of course, I'm not sure it matters at all, either. LOL...

Another question that bothers me is "What is your nationality" instead of "what is your ethnicity".
