Default help ... need to clay motor

i am in the process of claying my motor, but how do you lock the rockers in high lift? ... so i can get the clearances measured for when the motor is in VTEC. ... i searched but no luck ... anyone help.

Put a BB behind the larger piston in the rocker.

its not specific or im stupid or something .... it says

"you must dissassemble the rocker arm assembly for the cylinder that you are going to test on (#1 cylinder) and switch the VTEC pistons in the rocker arms so that it locks the VTEC rocker in place."

im confused on the "switch the VTEC pistons" part, is that piston supposed to be moved into the place of something or completely removed from the rocker?

You are making this too difficult. All you have to do is make sure the the outer two rockers are locked to the inner rocker for the cylinder you are checking. There is (at least) a half dozen ways to do that.

If that isn't as clear as day to you, it might be a good idea to spend some money for professional help.

i see it now, after actually ****** with the head itself ... its because ive never clayed a motor before ... never had to, former boost freak, so always had the all the valve to piston clearance i needed and then some ... hahaha!
