Stripping the interior is free. So is taking out the power steering and the AC.

Take a **** before you get in it. Oh wait you still have to pay water bill.

Checking air pressure in tires.
Man, unless you get creative just about everything costs money.
There was a good writeup on painting a valve cover. dude got the paint for 0.01 at autozone.

Strip the a/c all the way to the evaporator as well and get a grommet for the hole. They sell them at honda just find a non a/c model.

best free mod i did was removing the rear wiper and filling the hole with a rubber plug + silicone. cleans up the back a lot.

Cost of electricity aside, vacuum and otherwise clean the interior. Wash all of the excess dirt and crap off of the car, and wax the **** out of it so that it will cut through the air "like a streamlined butterfly". Keep up on your air pressure, drive with the wind rather than against it.

Seriously, though best of luck with your turbo build.

Get a skinnier girlfriend. Drive downhill with a tailwind. Keep your gas below a 1/8 tank. Tie a tow rope to the back of a Viper. Jack up the back of the car so you're always going downhill.

But seriously, besides weight reduction, there isn't much to be gained for free.

Take the cover off of the air intake filter, easy, free, and the car will sound better.
