Damn what kind of shady cheap *** ****'s would swap the oil filter to save a few bucks? I went to autozone a few days ago to buy a Mobil 1 filter hoping to do an oil change on my cars this long weekend... when I got home I just put the bag (oil filters, washers, motor oil) in my garage since I was going to work on the car in the garage anyway.... so I didnt check the oil filters inside/didn't think I had to...

as a habit I fill the oil filter w/ some fresh oil and let it soak into the filter so theres less of a dry startup when changing oil/filter... I open the box and its another filter.......some shady *** **** switched out the Mobil 1 filter... so I paid $12 for a filter that should have cost $3 and I guess they put the Mobil 1 filter in the stp box and paid $3 to get a Mobil 1 filter cheap *** focker I'm going to see if they will exchange it.. but damn next time I buy oil filters.. I'm going to check inside the box before I pay for it and leave the store .. I hope I get my money back.. or at least they give me the mobil 1 filter that I paid for

 

good tip, I always inspect filters just to make sure they didn't drop them or anything.

i bought like 20 something Mobil 1 oil filters for 3.99 each.

 

Damn that's pretty ghetto. Hope you can return it. Are Mobil one filters better than the OEM ones?

 

I would stick with OEM.
If for some reason the oil filter fails look at each scenario.
1. Aftermarket, they will cut you a check for a used motor not a new one.
2. OEM Honda will give you a new motor even if you drive an 86 integra.

got it exchanged for the correct Mobil 1 filter that I paid for w/o a problem at Autozone
