Default couldnt convert dpfi to mpfi NEED HELP!!!!!!

so today i unsuccessfully tried to convert my dpfi to mpfi but i was to much of a ***** to cut into my wireing harness besides that point i coundnt figuere out how to work my freaking soldering gun and i was missing the a6dizzy went to junk yard to look for it and didnt find it went to autozone and it was hella pricey 189 $ any one knw how to do the whole wireing harness conversion ill pay if you can do it for me oh and a question what will happen if i use my d15b1 dizzy??

I'm pretty sure you can use the same dizzy but it won't bolt up correctly. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Get the right parts for the job or don't do the job. I would also recommend rywire for wiring like jlicrx did.

ya, the dx dizzy will bolt up, but it dosent have a sensor inside that the ecu will look for. Gotta pay sometimes to have it done right

huh? why would you do the swap if you didnt have all the stuff to do it.. just cut the damn wires. dont spend money so someone els can do it.

yeah..... quite being a *****. if your too scared to modify your car then sell it and buy a ****** grandma car. its easy.... just make sure you have everything, and take your time to do it right.

why don't you guys give him a break. He is just being careful and doesn't want to do anything wrong. I'm sure you guys didn't know what to do at one point in time.

hehe thanks for the back up guys im just here trying not to have my dd out of comission for a while if im gonna do it i gotta do it right the first time so back to my question will i or will i not get check engine light thrown at me if i use my d15 dizzy cuz ill im swapping is my intake manifold to mpfi nothing from the block

If you're converting to MPFI then you have to use and MPFI Distributor (HF/Si). It contains a sensor (crank angle) that the DPFI (DX/Std.) lacks. You'll throw a code if you don't.

So, it is in your best interest to get a MPFI dizzy. You can get one new from the Distributor King on eBay for ~$130, or search in the marketplace here:

Your search for d16a6 distributor returned 33 results.

Dig through some FS threads, you should be able to find one for a deal

alrighty guys thanks for the info ill go search the FS threads or i might just buckle up and go buy one at autozone thanks again ill post pics or my progress and **** gonna start a project thread so you guys can check it out and leave some feed back abad or good some times the bad feed back is the good believe it or not lol THANKS@!

its hard to give someone a break when his question is clearly stated in probably all the mpfi write ups.
