My 92 Hatch's black tirm around the windows has started to flak away and show this tacky looking chrome stuff. How can I fix this and have the black tirm back?
Mine did the same thing so i just went to Honda and got some new stuff.. Since the car is 10 years old.. might as well get some new ****.. The top window molding is 15 bucks, but the 2 side pieces are 40 bucks a piece... find a wrecked car and get those ones.. They are held on by clips, but if in doubt dont just yank off hehe I tried that!

ha, i did the ghetto way- went to hoem depot and got some rust-proof flat black paint, masked off everything on one side of the car except the trim w/ newspaper, and applied like 5 coats. it looks really nice
and no flaking after 5 months.

yeah i have the same problem with my 93 hatch, it's a eye sore. After i was my car and detail everything i stand back and all i see is the bare aluminum and the flakey black ****. $40 a piece damn that's kinda steep. I know a junk yard with a hatch in it, maybe i'll take a little ride down there and check that out. I never thought about it last time i was there, i was too busy looking for grs rear brakes. If anyone finds them at a junk yard in really good condition i'll buy them from you.
