Sleeper Make-Over!! Need Help!!
Ok. I am trying to turn my car into a descent sleeper. I have a pic posted for you all to give me advice on what to change. I want an exhaust that is not extremely loud yet has a real nice low pitch tone, and what kind of wheels should I go with?
Here is the pic.
Thanks a lot.

Different people have different ideas of what a sleeper means. To me sleeper means that the whole car is bone stock looking, except maybe an exhaust. I'd say get rid of the clear corners, get stock steelies, or hx rims. I like the Greddy exhausts their quiet and deep sounding.
**** that,
that exhaust is waaaaaaaaaaay to expensive,
if you want to go sleeper, then i recommend getting the crx teardrop wheels, have them powdercoated to match your paint job, it looks like your car is already lowered, i would get some amber stained glass paint to redo your clears,
if you want to make your car badass, then i recommend getting some flat black, volk se37k wheels, or maybe volk te37s in gunmetal. get some amber lenses up front, for exhaust, since they really dont do jack **** on a honda, i would get a skunk2 universal from inlinefour.com and then get your custom piping, if you go this rout i have a new resonator you can have for that muffler.
your crx is pretty clean now, if you dont change the wheels, then get them powdercoated to match your car.

I bought a brand new HKS sport exhaust for $300 shipped through ebay in January...I'm sure you'll find em too w/ that price elsewhere..

DC Sport is quieter than Greddy, at least on our DAs it is. Go that route or HKS Sport as that is so quiet on a CR-X and that long sideways muffler in the back looks clean (be sure to PC it black
). Perhaps you could slap on some Rotas? But that would totally rape the sleeper look, and just get rid of the corners?
Sorry but you just asked for opinions

Just get stock corners and leave it the way it is.
It's a CRX... and just like a Civic... if it's lowered and has non-stock wheels it's not much of a sleeper. But then again whenever if you trash someone in a stock car lowered with small wheels, they'll always go ''oops''... That's why I like my car so much! stock corners, drop, wheels. done.
jdm my ***, it's just clean.

Thanks a lot guys. I am interested in that HKS Exhaust. Does it have any tone to it or is it just like the stock exhaust's tone?
By the way. Got some amber paint today and I am going to work on those corners soon. I think that they are getting old too.

You might wanna make sure that HKS isn't a 50mm exhaust... I know the GReddy is... One of those times when JDM actually pays off... mmm 60mm or better..
. stock ride height owns you
.
ugh!
.ugh!
The ultimate 'Sleeper' mod!!!!!
From Autospeed.com
"A fake small-bore exhaust can be useful adjunct to fool both police and other road users alike... In this case a monster dump pipe exits the underside of the muffler - but you'll only see that when you take a really close look!"

For the price of that hks sport you could probably get 2 quality custim-made cat-backs with nice sounding dynomax mufflers and good resonators.
I have the HKS exhaust for the CRX and I'd say get it. I don't know what kind of price people think it costs, but it is fairly inexpensive, and it sounds awesome(esp. w/ a b20 in front of it
) The piping is 50mm, but this is optimal for a 1.6 NA motor. If you are going turbo or nitrous, do not buy this exhaust. Do not buy it if you are into loudness, either. The fit and finish is flawless, the only gripe is they didn't include new bolts for the exhaust to cat flange, WTF???
