the reason im using syncromesh is because i heard it was the best. I was using honda mtf and i switched to syncromesh and to me it seems like it shifted a little bit smoother.

Redline MTF Syncromesh Made a big difference in how well the tranny shifted. Expensive though. Cheapest place ive found was ebay. Local shops get 15 bucks a quart for the ****

EDIT THIS WAS NOT USED FOR "HIGH HORSEPOWER" IN MY DEFINITION.. BUT AROUND A 250-270 WHP INTEGRA

i've used all of the options stated above except.

for me results were as follows with a tranny that had a light 3rd gear grind. I am basing my good bad results on how well it shifted and resisted grinds.

10W30: no improvement no noticeable change

HONDA MTF: best i could tell was about the same as the 10W30 whatever oil.

20W50 Castrol GTX: (or whatever) major improvement stopped grind for a while could shift hard with no grind till oil breakdown then changed and same effect. BUT IT NEVER HARMED MY TRANNY HAVE USED FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS HARD DRIVING.

GM SYCHROMESH:worked pretty much the same as the 20W50 except felt slightly smoother

REDLINE MTL:worked awesome except sometimes would not go into 3rd but my opinion is better to not go that grind and further destroy the synchro's but didn't last very long and felt a bit notchy but definately would use again

ROYAL PURPLE: WORST DAMN THING I EVER USED IN THE TRANNY. if you have a perfect synchro tranny it may be ok but mine GOT A LOT WORSE! after using this it was never the same

Lastly my driving habits are: drive it like you stole it so results may apply to that also.
