Default water temp and oil pressure gauge install

i have a 89 crx with the 1.5 and i want to instal 2 electric autometer gauges and was wondering if anyone knew where i can put in the oil pressure sending unit and the water temp sensor? i spliced the factory wire which i though was going to the stock temp gauge but it doesnt work, it just bounced from 0 to 250. its the green wire with a yellow stripe. if anyone has any info or pics that would help. thanks

You will need to use the sending units that came with the Autometer gauges. The Honda sending units are not compatible with the Autometer gauges. For the oil pressure gauge, you can do one of two things. You can either tee off of the stock location so you can keep the stock sensor and use the Autometer unit, or if you are not planning to use the stock sensor ever again, you can screw the Autometer unit into your block. The threads are not the same, but pretty close.

As for the water temp gauge, you will need to install the sending unit somewhere in the coolant flow. I installed mine on the thermostat water neck. You will need to drill a hole and tap it with a 1/8npt tap. Be sure to use teflon tape or paste on the threads on the sending unit.

good stuff, but i reccomend for the oil pressure sensor, to buy the tee. If nothing else contact stealthmode they sell them with there oil line kits, and i know he could get you one cheap and much for reliable
