I installed my ksports today on my crx. Just for fun i wanted to see how low they would go and then rise them back up. After i got them on, they were not much lower then what my car was before. I see people slammed on ksports. whats wrong with mine. Will they settle?

With preload dialed in and about another 1/2 inch to go without losing preload. Only problem is my right rear is already starting to blow out with less then 200 miles on them. Needless to say I'm disappointed, but I guess factory defects/lemons do happen...trying to get an exchange on them right now for another set or just that single shock.
they ride a little stiff for me...even on the softest settings. Could be the shitty *** roads around here though.
I have a 2-3k miles on mine with no problems. Handles really well...I'll give them a
and would recomend them.

Ksports here with 12/10 spring rates and not at the bottom yet. I got 1 finger gap on the front and could go lower, but I want function over looks.
I'm on the softest setting right now and it rides very well unless you hit massive pot holes.
If people HAVE issues with the ksports its because of 1 of 2 things:
1) Riding too low for the springs
2) Dust boot is done very poorly and needs to be secure with a cable tie or black tape.

Yeah, if I could do it again GC and Yellows are the way to go. Just fork out the extra 2 bills and do it right the first time

You hear horror stories of people using Omnis, D2s and etc. It doesn't matter what system you use you will generally hear a horror story about it.
If people have issues with a coilover system its probably because of something they did but won't admit it.

But to say spend the extra 2 bills on GC/Yellow and do it right the first time doesn't sound very intelligent. Not ONE company has a 100% satisfaction/success rate.

it just seem weird to me because
% of ksports < % other setups
# of complaints on ksport side> # of complaints on other companys
also its comes as a setup were as many of us have GC with like AGX or something were we assemble it, helping the probability of other systems "nonksport" have problems thereby equally a greater % of complaints for others but it doesn't...this is all opininated, i have no statistical evidence...this is just my history of reading through HT and other sources...

and if we went back and read all about the complaints on GC/yellows when they first came out then im sure all you would be reading about all the **** on them too...looks like you have been reading a lot of h-t in a little under 2 years here.

personally im not trying to shame them in anyway i've never had them, i just am stating what i have seen.
Forgot to mention that most Koni/GC setups are have problems occuring when spring and shock are combined, as were Ksport are already assembled, so shouldnt that be a deterent against problems for them?
Truthfully its whatever works for the individual

Make sure you are adjusting them correctly. A buddy of mine spent 1200 on teins and was trying to lower them buy compressing the spring. He couldn't make his car get lower either. These are true coilovers. The ride height is adjusted buy threading the lower fork mount up body towards the spring. The threaded adjustment near the spring is to preload the spring.
If you have threaded the lower fork mount all the way up the body till it reaches the spring mounts and you are still unhappy, take the lower legs off and have them turned to remove some of their length.

Thats how ksports work.. you have the upper perch to adjust spring pre-load then you can turn the threads up or down into the base to adjust height.
