Hey guys,
The first stateside Gymkhana event was held this past weekend in El Toro Airfield. The turn out was better than I had expected, esp bc IDRC finals were the same weekend. There were many FR, AWD and MR cars out there. The FF's were shortly represented, but hopefully the next event we can have out FF's out and representin'!!!!
I rolled out with my good friend's R34...also known for being Ultimate street car chanllenge winner and American Touge showdown 2 winner. Unfortunatly he didnt get run bc his car was being displayed at Bride/Eneos oil booth...sitting on Volk Dubs doesnt help much either......
next Gymkhana we'll both be runnin for sure...
anyways, here are some pictures from the event...enjoy
GTR @ booth

finally at the end of the day....having some fun on the open field...

gymkhana is much like auto-x but a tad more technical and instead of using many cones, very few are used. gymkhana is japans auto-x bacially.
its covered here on honda-tech a tad. check the auto-x section...aspec has a thread...

Wow, most cars are so sexy, but they're destroyed with those ricer wings. I didn't know autocrossers were such fans of picnic's...it's like they auto-x and then have some snacks on those benches on their trunks...

i've heard its like autox but instead of just time, like drift, your also judged by driving style.. its supposed to be really tight so that some spots there are like 180 turns to drift/ebrake/whatever.. i dunno.. basically its funner autox.. haha
