An Si one would probably be the best overall choice. Should be much easier to find than a ZC tranny and I'm guessing that you don't want to go through the hassle of converting to hydraulic.

I dont want hydro you're right.

I drive long distances alot so I want to have the long top

I want to go LSD as well if possible

since I am planning to open it up and replace stuff the option of custom mixes is available too

so I suppose the best question is

what is the best LSD capable tranny to rebuild for a D-block in a daily driver?

You could get a Quaife and put it in a Si or ZC tranny, along with replacing the synchros, bearings, and seals and have a pretty durable tranny. Or if you are on a budget, you could go with an OBX LSD. I believe there are ZC trannys with LSD's too, but they are kinda rare.

Well, you could do better with more OEM parts...

DOHC ZC 3rd & 4th and JDM Integra ZXi Final of 4.437 and mate all that with the LSD of your choice.

For the newb's:
DX, Si and Teg ZXi all have the same gearing 1-5. Only differences are Final Drives which make a hell of a difference. (3.88, 4.25, and 4.4375 respectively)

That's what I meant. DX/Si/ZXi 1 & 2 (Implied from "Si with the HF fifth gear, quaife LSD....../thread"); with ZC 3 & 4; HF 5; ZXi Final

See my Sig for my Tranny setup.
