Default Raising compression = how much horsepower?

Okay if I raise my compression by just slapping on ITR pistons. How much acutal horsepower gain is it?

I think it really depends on your cams. Some cams will take advantage of it and some won't. If you're just raising your compression with ITR pistons and not changing anything else, i'd say you wouldn't even notice it.

ive heard raising CR by .02-.04 will net about 1-2%

cant remember where i read it tho

Acutally, I think it was every point raised in compression was 2-4% gain.

I'm thinking about getting some CTR piston, Skunk2 Gears, and ITR pistons/rings. Will this b e a decent combination or what would everyone else recommend?

for instance... if u put the toda 12.3 compression pistons.. about how much hp would that raise in a stock gs-r?

as you go up in comp pressure you go up in heat, you get dimminishing returns after a point, and once you reach a point you start detonating, and you have to retard timing, working against your desire to gain HP. but just going up to ITR pistons shouldn't put you above the point of diminishing returns, although our engines are already very close (on regular pump gas) cams is a good idea to compliment this change, and also valve springs and retainers, and if you are going this far already, you might as well throw some sodium filled valves in there, they are lighter and if I remember correctly they don't heat up as bad (either that or they heat up more, quite crucial, and you should make sure before you do it).
