Squeeking from Rear Hatch Area
Hi Guys, my crx sounds like an old couch, squeeking from the rear hatch area, driving me nuts, takes the pleasure out of driving. Any tips to get rid of the squeek will be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

the squeak often comes from the two rubber stoppers on the hatch itself not being out all the way.
open your hatch, and look for the 2 black rubber things that stop it from being metal on metal when it closes.
youll notice these things are threaded and replaceable, so turn them LEFT as much as you can, if you go to far, it will fall out in your hand, which is no big deal.
the reason for this is those 2 rubber things create the tension against the latch, which makes the hatch itself slightly harder to close, but it will hold much better and squeak less.
if the noise is plastic interior panels rubbing together then you need to figure out what it is and use either FOAM or 3M double stick tape to help cushion it and kill the noise.
but do the easy one first and see if it helps.
later.
