how do i wire up a subwoofer to stock system?
Hi I have an alpine E series sub that i'd like to wire up to my stock 94 integra's stereo system. I dont wanna put in my aftermarket HU and amp. I just want to make the sup installation plain and simple. Since there arent any RCA plugs on the back of the factory HU how would i wire up the sub w/o an amp? also, what size speakers fit in my 94 integra ls? thanks

Simple. You don't.

Who ever wired a subwoofer without an amplifier is a dipshit. The speaker size for your car is standard 6.5" for the doors and the rear if it's a 2 door and if you have a four door the rear deck speakers are 6x9.
the amplifier might have been hidden somewhere...? or else it the sub was not very powerful at all. the most power you are going to get without an amp is like 25 watts and i doubt you are getting that with a stock deck. you can wire up an amp with a stock deck though -- search for Line Out (output) Converter or LOC, also called a Hi-Lo converter. that is how you make the RCA plugs. Or with some amps you can also tap the speaker wire leads into an input (but is not as recommended because of noise problems)
no use in having that sub without an amp, might as well return it and get some good speakers.
OR just get a self-powered sub like a bazooka tube. Infinity and Kenwood also make some that are pretty decent.
