Sitting motor? What to do to prevent rust..etc
I poured a little oil into the cylinders of my old motor and turned it over a couple of times by hand. It sat outside, completely exposed to the elements for well over a year (no exhaust manifold, nothing), and ran like a champ afterwards. There was some funky stuff growing on the valves and the exhaust ports though.

Yea if its a motor you dont really care about what was said will be fine. If its an important motor you want to use later then i suggest putting a thimble full of oil down the spark plug holes and wrap it out.
