Default tips for removing stubborn dowel pins?

i am currently removing the specified dowel pins from the main cap in order to press in the billet plugs. They are being very stubborn, will spin, but will not come out. A couple of them wont even spin. Anyone got tips to removing them?

What i do on some dowel pins i dont plan on using again is hammering a nail into them and pulling the nail evenly with 2 pilers gets it out. I also always spray down dowels with WD40 before taking off any.
