fuel pressure regulator problem?
for some reason my b20/vtec decided not to start. i noticed that the fuel pressure gauge was showing zero. pump is good (still pumping), the rail is getting fuel because i drained it, then opened it, and there's fuel in there. so, it leads me to believe it is a defective fuel pressure reg. now, my question is, if the fpr is defective, will the motor not start/run at all? because if so, then it leads me to believe that that is the problem, but if not, then maybe it's somethng else. but then i wouldnt know what it is. any ideas?
if fuel pressure is not present then the motor wont run, pinch the return line after the FPR with some vise grips and try to crank it. If it starts the fpr is your problem, if there is still no fuel pressure/no start condition then your problem is on the feed side... leaking injectors, leak in the feed line, bad fuel pump.
for the return side, if i just plug it up, that should hav ethe same effect right? since i can remove the line easily, i suppose i could just plug it that way it is a complete seal. for the feed side, i thought it was weird because like i said fuel does get there, so it shouldnt be pump or leak. what is leaking injectors?
