JDM 93 H22A motor lags before vtec need help!!!

Default JDM 93 H22A motor lags before vtec need help!!!

i hav a 96 accord and i have swaped in a jdm 93 H22A with the orgional computer and when im punching it the motor lags between 3000rpm and a bit after 5000rpm the only thing that i do not have hooked up are the 02 sensors. When i run my chiped p28 it works fine but i want to keep it stock cas the vtec scream louder n pulls harder then the p28 im thinkin that the p13 might blow my motor im not sure ijust dont like the lag need help!!!!!!!

You absolutely need to hook up the primary O2 sensor. It tells the ECU how to adjust the air/fuel mixture. Without it, it typically runs very, very rich, which can cause the problems you are describing.

The secondary O2 sensor just tells the ECU if the cat is working properly. The longer your car throws that particular code the richer your car will run, but not as bad as the primary O2 sensor will make it. If you have a working catalytic converter installed, hook up the secondary sensor.
