need help with aem cam gears

Default need help with aem cam gears

ok i have a problem with lining up the timing marks on my aem cam gears. when ever i have the top marks pointing up the side marks are way off. but if i line up the side marks the top marks dont point up. what should i do i have tried both and car will not start. here are some pics

Man this seems to be a recurring problem with AEM

Have you done a search on this? It's been covered a lot.

no they have been on the car when i bought it and my belt slipped off some how and now i having a hard time trying to put it back at tdc

yea it sucks, my belt jumped, found top dead center and i had a bent valve, what i did was my friend would hold the gears at top dead center and i put put the rest of the belt on but make sure ur crank is on the right stroke
