Prices differ really. Depends on if you need a cable trans or hydro.

Either way, buckle up and be ready to drop at least 200-300 dollars for a cable and more for a hydro. Thats in good working condition.

I paid 700.00 for a Y21 LSD tranny but I got a good deal on it. Then 3rd gear starting grinding so not very good deal.

1100.00 to 1400.00 for a type r lsd tranny is normal.
800.00 - 1400.00 for a CTR LSD tranny.
400.00 - 700.00 for a hydro tranny is average.

I've picked up LS transmissions for free, and most of the GSR trannies I've worked on were under $200, because they needed a little work and were missing the slave cylinders and throwout hardware. Expect $500-$1500 for a 100% working unt that comes with all the parts.
