Default Tein SS or HA?

I am looking into coilovers for my car. I reserched alot about the konis, and gcs. But for some reason, I rather just have a true coilover. I was lookin into the new Tein SS'. Also saw the HA' for the type R. Besides the fact they are for different cars. What is the difference between the 2? I know the LCA is different in the TypeR. Just wondering If it would be worth it, and would it work....If I got TypeR LCAs and Tein HAs for my 98gsr...Any thoughts on this?

didn't exactly replace... HA has the helper spring and the SS dont and the HA is for all the integras while the HA is only for the ITR or cars with their itr rear lca

Umm, Arent Zeals a lil more costly?
And what does the helper spring on the HA do anyway?

i guess the helper spring holds up the main spring so if u fly up.. ur springs wont leave ur strut... makes sense?

Go for the SS.

The HA isnt worth the extra cost of the ITR LCA's. The SS is designed for exactly this, regular Integra owners who want HA's, and now dont have to switch out the rear LCAs.

i don tknow bout flying up.. but like hwne u hit bumps..sometimes my car lifts off the springs and bounces right back on them.. makes a lot of noise... but yea SS is the way to go for you .. unless of course u wanna get some zeals with me.. ... coilover springs are usually shorter then just springs if u look at them..

the spring rates on the tein HA (ITR) and the tein SS (GSR) are exactly the same...i believe the only difference is the missing helper spring as someone said before. hth

So is the HAs worth it with the helper spring? If it makes a big deal, then i'll switch my lcas

i think just get the SS.... switching out the lcas and paying extra for the HAs.... u might as well find another set that is higher in price to equal that.. zeals?.. the big deal is uhh their the hot item?.. i had the tein ha's before... i dont know what u do if u break them.. i dont know how that could be possible but i'm sure you get warrenty if i remember..

The newer model TEIN HA doesn't need LCA .....
they redesign the HA this year for EDFC contorl module

Actually, the SS uses softer springs than the HA. The helpers hold the main springs in place...useful for sitches like going up steep driveways when coilovers springs tend to separate from the upper perch. I'd just get the SS's and not hassle w/ the need for ITR LCAs.

As for service if something happens, send them, or take them if you're in socal, to Tein USA. They can do all servicing, rebuilding, and revalving there. Zeal's are great too, but yeah, they're a lil higher priced and I don't think either is better than the other. They just happen to be the hot item now, just like Tein's were before. Get the one that best suits your budget and needs/wants. HTH.

hmm, but the HAs have helper springs that help going up drive ways, etc. Might bother with the itr rear lcas then, no bigger. do it right the first time
