Default 5th gen prelude wheel offset

I'm looking into getting new wheels for the summer. I was wondering what offset I should get for 16x7s the wheels that I'm looking at come in 42. The 17x7s im looking at come in 35, 42, and 48. I rather get the 16s because I already have tires from my stock rims. If I shouldn't get the 16s what offset should I get for the 17s. And what offset would be best for a set of 16s if 42 isn't good.

between a 38 and 45 mm offset will work.. 42mm would be better if you want the wheel more tucked in the fender..
