Default 97 accord suspension problem

i have a 97 accord and i lowered it about 2 inches with skunk2 springs. it has been this way for about 3 years and the car was higher in the back after i installed them but now the wheel gap is the same for the front and rear wheels. i also hear a clunking sound in the back when going over a bumpy road in the past couple months and thats when the rear wheel gap started to get smaller so i'm thinking there is something breaking down in the suspension. do you know what could be happening?

Did you put in new shocks when you put on the springs or are they stock?

Worn shocks won't cause the car to sit lower... I'm not sure why people think the shocks/struts have anything to do with ride height.

Either the rear springs are sagging or some of the bushing are worn and are compressing.

yea I guess if youve had the springs for 3 years then its highly possible the springs are beginning to sag

It sounds like your springs are getting worn out, and beginning to sag. This causes the coils to touch each other, which alone could cause a clunking sound. Skunk2 springs aren't known for their superb quality either...

If you're on stock shocks, they are most likely blown after riding on a 2 inch drop for 3 years, which will also put more stress on the spring.

i did change my shocks right after i got the springs. i got kyg agx gas shocks but the springs could be sagging still? also the front seems fine so i wonder why it's just the back. i also live on a dirt road since i'm in dirt poor florida so i guess the springs would wear out a lot quicker driving over a bumpy *** road every month...
