Get either an ls or b16 and boost. Or get a b18c and keep it NA. Up to you...

get a giant turbo? expletive no! Get a smaller turbo and rebuild your current engine.. You can be getting around 300+whp no prob with a dyno tune, rebuilt engine, etc.. easily!

direct port nitrous injection and a stand alone engine management system.

Sell the civic, and put a downpayment on an EVO. Nuff said.

Expletive that. Kids don't need EVOs... He'll end up killing himself...

...and the question of the hour is..."Why would you sell a vr6 to get a civic?" If you really want to know what to do with the 4K though, you can im me, and I will be glad to give you my address, because I can find alot of better things to do with 4K besides ask how to spend a nice sum of money, on a forum dedicated to technical questions regarding Honda automobiles

Yeah, I agree.

Don't invest it into a civic where it'll become one with the car in the sense that the car's value will not go up at all.

Put it in a savings account or CD where it'll gain interest. Be smart, not stupid.

EDIT:
I mean it's pretty obvious you don't spend money right, you paid 4500 for a stock '98 EX. Invest it, definitely.
