OK GUYS i have a 88 ef hatch with a b16a obdo swap. i have checked all my fuses and there good, what happens is i start the car and it starts for a few seconds and dies. but i cant hear the fuel pump turn on or anything so im thinking my fuel pumps not turning on and therefor no gas so it keeps dieing.
is there any way to test a fuel pump to see if its getting power? and any other ideas on why it would be dead?

check your main realy box. its located right above the hood release its a 10mm socket. this just happened to me yesterday on my 90 w/ b16a. when they go bad u wont hear the fuel pump come on. the sodered joints in there come apart.
the main relay is good thing to check and also fuses i had same problem but what u dont know is that there is a special fuse that is under the dash that makes the pump work and main relay stuff work properly * its like # 10 or 14 fuse its on the top row i think on the left on the fuse box under the dash.. so check all them fuses real good.
me and my bro had this same problem for a few days and here all it was is a simple lil fuse that was broke... we checked all the fuses that had to do with the fuel and stuff and they looked good. ----- but there was a very Wise fellow here on honda-tech (( i forget his user name)) who pointed me in the right direction and he told me about the fuse that had nothing to do with the main relay or fuel pump that it actually controled the whole process , actually made the whole thing work and without it nothin will work so i know u may think im crazy for what im saying but seriously i did it on my car and that was the problem bc my main relay wasnt clickin when i turned on the key and the fuel pump wouldnt even start priming... all bc the stupid lil fuse was broke - SO CHECK ALL THE FUSES UNDER THE DASH AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE GOOD - like i said i remember it being closer to the left up top of the fuse pannel
so let me know if that is the problem and u find it and fix it

so you aren't getting power to the pump....one step down several more to go....
