ok i just swapped in an OBD1 gsr into my cx hatch. i have everything hooked up that would make the car run. It has spark from the dizzy to the plugs. it has fuel. we changed the starter. but what else can it be. we checked the cel codes and its nothing that wouldnt cause the car not to run! PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT! THANKS.
one more thing. the cam gears were 180 degrees out? so how would you check for bent valves or signs of bent valves w/ the head still on the car?
timing is to TDC now
and the motor has compression???????

if the car has spark and is in time i would check fuel pressure, also compression. if you dont want to pull the head to check for bent valves just get a bore scope and check them out. also check you firing order and make sure its wright. try rolling the dizzy back and forth while cranking.

check grounds, electrical, ecu, chek to see if your map and tps arent on the wrong plugs on the throttle body. firing order, could be the igniter in the dizzy. sounds electrical if you get spark, fuel, and air.
Had the same problem with my h22 swap. I bought a clean 95 H22 long block from Nagasaki motors in Canada with warranty, the thing had plenty fuel and a strong spark but wouldnt start. I had a semi built motor in there before and it ran fine so i new everything worked (ecu, injectors, wiring the whole nine...) anyways I finally switched dizzy just for the hell of it and it fired right up. Just always check the basics.
