I was originally looking for a 92-95 hatch, but I see there is a 2000 shell forsale. Would the 2000 shell be a good choice for someone who just wants to hit the track on the weekend and have some fund with friends, or should I keep looking for a hatch?

what is your concern? weight? my 2000 SI with interior weighs 2440 with driver and a heavy *** turbo setup.

 

Yea, I was wondering how much extra weight the SI shell is compared to the Hatch.

 

a friends 92-95 si hatch with b swap and turbo and driver weighed 2535...what model hatch?

 

I have not thought that far ahead yet, I figured all the hatches would be about the same. So it looks like from what you posted, there is not that much of a weight difference between them though..

 

longer wheel base also helps with leverage and keeping the wheels planted.
