Default throttle body question..STOCK? OR GO BIGGER?

i was thinking of "upgrading" my throttle body to a 66 or 68mm, but if i did so, would i have to make any other ajustments regarding intake mani or others? and if i were to go bigger would my same intake (passwordjdm) system still fit on a 66 or 68?

are we talking about an ITR motor? depends what else is done to the car. the stock TB isnt really that much of a restriction on a lightly modded car.

If you do indeed get a bigger throttle body, you will still be limited by your intake manifold as I believe the opening there is in the ~63mm (or around) area. So you would just create a lip which would be bad. It wouldn't matter how big your throttle body would be if your the intake manifold would just cap that off. Secondly, no one here and genuinely can recommend you a throttle body size, or wether you even need to upgrade yours in the first place, as you didn't specify any specs on your engine, doing headwork, pistons, rods and etc... isn't speicifc enough. What compression, what kind of headwork, stock bore, etc..? And if you would benefit from a bigger throttle, which would be one of the last mods then just send your stock throttle body off to maxbore.com. A lot of the aftermarket throttle bodys have sticking issue. Maxbore just overbores your stock stock throttle body to "spoon spec" which is 70mm at the opening and 65mm on the intake manifold side, along with rebuilding yours so it comes back looking shiny and new.
