Default does this sound right?

This kid i know has an accord. not sure of the year or model, but i had a vtec head and looked completely stock to me, although there is no exhaust other than manifold, down pipe and cat, he called it a "shortey". Also it has a huge oil leak because of a bolt on the valve cover missing
he claims it has some after market HEADERS but unless im just an idiot it just looked like a plain MANIFOLD to me...
He claims that it has a bunch of internal engine work done to i and that he has gone 175mph in it on the main roads. Also i forget how many hp it has but it was something around 200...

Does this sound logically correct?

200 some hp accord with "shortey" exhaust, vtec, and POSSIBLE internal engine work...

I'm thinking of telling him to prove it on the drag strip next weekend against my 91 sohc zc crx.

no. if its a v6 it has headers, if its a 4 cylinder it has a header. no accord will go 175mph on main roads, especially if it only has 200hp. tell the kid to go kill himself immediately.

Default 175 mph Accord

Fastest I have had my 96' F22B2 stock is 185-190 "kph"..lol That's where it hits a thing called the speed limiter.

Is this magic Accord of his Chipped? If not there is no way he could get even close to 175 Mph in a 2.2 VTEC or Non. I highly doubt that the US Accord model would have a speed limiter any higher than 120-130 Mph (and that's push'n it). I'm not 100%, correct me please if I'm wrong, just going by what my stock speed limiter is in kph.

Even still N/A chipped with an intake, cam, headers and exhaust a 2.2L on the street, 175 mph....Not likely! I'd like to see it, get a vid if you get this kid to race ya.

I'd call his bluff, Take him down owned!

200 HP on a NA F-series is attainable. Not likely by the sound of your story. 175 MPH = completely unrealistic.
