Default Shipping seats?

To anyone that has sold and shipped seats before...

I'm selling some seats, driver and passenger, and someone asked me about shipping them. What do use to package them, and what carrier do you use? They are CTR Recaro's btw..

Thanks!

Package them individually. Recline the seats all the way straight. Wrap them up in plastic, Or one of those big rolls of saran wrap stuff. Wrap them in a thick old blanket. Get some huge boxes from lowes/home depot/walmart etc. Cut the boxes and make your own box to fit the seats. Make the boxes fit the seats as tight as you can. I Shipped each of my seats for $36 a piece insured via UPS. Took 3 or 4 trips back and forth to UPS. I had to keep making the boxes smaller and smaller. 1 inch bigger and it would've been $120 + per seat.

yep, shipping seats is pricey. depending how you want to do it. my friend got his ctr recaros take apart (so each seat into 2 pieces) and they were put into a washer box from like sears or something. lol

and my buckets came in a box made by ups i think. the seller told me he paid 200 to get them shipped to me from cali. lol
