Default Who has a header with good clearance?

ok so the streets around my area suck, and ive mangled another header. Im moving out of this complex ive been living in for the past 3 years, going in and out over the speedbumps has made 2 huge dents on the bottom 2 tubes of my header, i noticed theres a bit of space above my header so i could tuck a tighter one up there. does anyone know of a real tight fitting header? im not the richest guy around so price does matter for me.

i would say custom pab a nice little header shield that bolt to the chassis if your roads suck that much. i know how you feel though i sliced off 2/3 of my exhaust flanges. aka do not use rcrew header for k20 swaps

Toda and JDM OEM 4-1 headers have good clearance if you are riding on stock height.

That is a big picture so don't be surprised.

This is under high-G load and laden more than usual. 400# springs were on the front.

B motor days with SMSP header showing about the worst it can get...still has some room.

Is that grey hair I see under that helmet gramps? LOL

Another vote for SMSP header. I have the 1 piece and you'll hit something else on the car before you hit the header.

Nope, I personally spoke to Dave at SMS and he advised there were no power differences in the 3 piece vs 1 piece at that time. That may have changed now with the new design.

Either way, SMSP is one hell of a quality piece.

JDM 4-1 + skidplate = no more clearances woes.

Did everyone miss this?

Toda and SMSP are both big $$ compared to a DC or something.

With that said, look at a DC 4-2-1. May not make as much power as the others mentioned, but it is far better than the stock header and much lighter to boot.
