Do not have them. They are for fender stiffness so the fenders dont move in and out. I have no need for it. Front end is pretty stiff the way it is.
I HAD them. Autobody world didnt bother puttin them on. It would be nice but Im not gonna shell out another 50 on them. There not really needed.
I bought them for ~$35 and I have to adimt, I'm glad I did, they make the fenders a lot stiffer. Also, they push the fenders out slightly. When I put them on, my front bumper lined up better with my fenders. I also gained a little bit of fender clearance to the wheels.
They're not needed, but I'm glad I bought them. $50 isn't much when you look at how much the rest of the front end cost.
Just my opinion though.

You can use your existing USDM brackets with little modification. You technically don't need them. But then again, you technically don't need your bumper reinforcement either. But you will wish that you had them after someone bumps or leans onto it. Even though the headlight gives the front portion of the fender some support, the fender portion near the wheelwell will just buckle.
Just for the sake of argument. On a USDM front end that has been converted to a JDM front end, do you use USDM brackets or JDM brackets? Since you are bolting JDM fenders onto a USDM frame. I assume the USDM brackets will bolt up properly, but are the JDM fenders different in anyway besides where the headlights are located?

I used the JDM fender brackets, and I second the info that they help push the fenders out just a bit. I installed my jdm hid washer bottle yesterday and I believe that the upper corner of the bottle bolts to the ds bracket. So I would consider them necessary. And the idea of using the usdm ones, that seems like too much effort to me. If you can afford the jdm front you might as well do it right and have all the proper parts.

Would you consider selling a set or two of fender brackets?
