Need to take out a few light scratches.
First of all, I have a 1997 Granada Black Civic Coupe.
Heres what I need help with....
Today I was washing/waxing my car, and this time I notice a few scratches on my door, and one where the civic badge used to be. They aren't down to metal or anything, but they are deep enough to be noticeable, I can't feel them very easily, so there isnt a large chunk taken out of the paint. I was wondering what you guys would reccommend to get these scratches out??
What grit rubbing compound would you guys use, and what brands have you had good results with. Also, what are some tips, or techniques I should use to get the best results??
Thanks!!!

Only problem with Scratch X is that it isn't a permanent fix.
It just kinda fills in the scratch.
After say 2-3 car washes it looks like before you put it on.
I don't think there is really a good way to get rid of scratches.

Good news... I got some of that scratch x stuuf, and with a little elbow grease, the scratches are damn near invisible. You can only really see them if u know where to look, and what to look for.

3M makes a fine grit rubbing compound...about $15 for a nice sized bottle..its a big squeeze bottle... its usually used with buffers...but i used it on my hood with all them dings that i got from rocks...works like a charm...you really gotta use alot of pressure, you wont ever see them dings again...
mothers worked pretty well on the neon they gave me as a rental, i drove it through some bushes im my buddies field... oh well its a neon
