Here is the "before" pic:

...and here is the "after" pic:

Just what the hell am I talking about?

Today I sold #231, and replaced it with a tow vehicle for the road race CRX Si. Let's face it, if you want to do wheel-to-wheel road racing, you have to make some drastic decisions, and this is one of them. The Grand Cherokee is a compromise since I have to drive it every day, so I wasn't real excited about the Suburban/Taho/Expedition options that are clearly better for towing. However, the Jeep has a V8 and a tow package, so it's ready to go

A special thanks to Brett at soloracer.com for hooking up #231 during the race season and for offering so much help with the sale (fortunately, I didn't need most of it. Brett, aren't you glad you don't have to drive the R home from AZ?). Another special thanks to Mike at IPS for a HUGE favor he did for me prior to the sale of the R. You know what you did, and I really apreciate it

I'll post the details of #231's sale in another thread in the next few days, along with some parting shots and even a video of the last autocross I did in #231 with a 1st place PAX finish. For now, I just wanted to share my new toy. One step closer to road racing

Congrats again on the sale, Travis. Tucson autocrosses just won't be the same

Unless, of course, they make slicks to fit Jeeps (what class would you be dominating then? )

Aleph,

The car was completely and totally stock. 3 days worth of busting *** to make it that way.

goern-R,

No, the Tucson autocrosses won't be the same, but I'll still be there The CRX is legal for CSP under ITA rules, so that will be my main autocross car between road race events in Phoenix. Don't be surprised if it's faster than the R, but no more PAX wins. Hmmmm, Kumhos for the Jeep...
