Its happened twice now. When I park the car outside in 75*+ weather for a couple of hours it just doesn't want to start right up. When its been parked in the garage it fires right up no problem. My GUESS is that the heat is causing it to choke on fuel when I try to start it. It turns but just won't catch, and then it eventually fires up.
I was thinking of leaning it out at the 500-1500rpm range. I remember having a similar issue with the car when I was running just the VAFC/Chipped ECU. I would lean the 1000rpm spot by 5-7% and it would be fine. If I left it where it was at, the heat would prevent smooth starts.

Symptoms are in line with the popular main relay problem. Hairline fractures in the solder joints open with temperature expansion. (listen for the fuel pump priming when ignition is first turned to "run")

Also, a while back there was a rash of hot soak re-start problems on some models. This was experienced after attempting re-starts on an engine that was recently run and didn't have the time to cool down all the way to "cold". The culprit in those situations was a faulty TW sensor. (not the one for the temp gauge, the one that feeds the ECU)

Just my guesses. I have no experience with what effect your mods may have on the problem.
