Default Which Radiator and slim fans to purchase?

I seem to have a leaky OEM radiator FTL. So time to upgrade.

Going with a full size radiator, what are some good recommendations? Koyo? C&R? Fluidyne? And what about some slim fans to go along with it?

My Fluidyne was great. Super beefy and nice quality. Never had a problem with it. However some of the Ebay units are pretty decent. Koyo/mishimoto/yanaka but the prices are coming up on those, they used to be dirt cheap.

If you dont *need* slim fans then no need to get them. Otherwise buy a set from one of the guys in the vendor forums for like $50 each, shipped. I got mine from this guy https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1180287

Well, do the OEM fans mount up to after market rads? I also have A/C in my car, so I'll need an A/C compressor fan...

I used my stock cooling fan on my Fluidyne radiator but didnt try to mount the A/C fan because I removed the A/C at that point.

i'm using a Koyo full size with my ITR swapped EJ1 if that helps. It's the 'Denso' unit (there's 2 for the DC2R) and i've paired it up with a single FAL fan. it's pretty thick so i you probably could run your stock fans, but you may have to cut up the fan shroud to clear your header and stuff.

And with the slim fans, you could put them on the front of the radiator. Give your engine bay a little bit cleaner look

I don't want to start a new thread for a pic request, but I remember seeing an image for an aftermaket radiator and dual slim fans. I believe they were yellow, my ricer inside me liked the look. Anyone have a link to that pic so I can see which radiator and fan combo they are?

I'm not sure if there would be enough space between the radiator and the AC Condenser...

Lay off the drugs buddy. A radiator is no where close to an exhaust, and I'm quite happy with my SMSP Exhaust.

Damn spambot...

Although I use Fluidynes myself... some friends of mine went with these.

Some have said the rad cap isn't the best, but considering how much they cost, you could afford to get a new cap right off the bat along with some nice fans too.

FWIW, the quality is on par with my full row fluidyne. A radiator I have been using for the past 7 years.

Those welds, especially next to the rad cap look a little on the bad side to me.

I'm leaning towards the C&R w/ Spal fan currenty. Unless Someone has a steal of a deal on a sp00n, lol

neo_ have you tried the visteon rad/fan. i used it on the kswap fitment was perfect vary effecient. only uses a single fan. i was running on half fluid a few times went from red to between half and cold when going about 60mph.

King Sells them for 395

i have not used it in a ITR with bseries motor so i do not know if you will be able to retain a/c
