Drove my S2K without oil cap!!
Some @$#% thief or bad friend stole my oil cap, resulting in me driving the car for a long time (+4 days) without the oil cap. Besides low oil levels, could there be any permanent damage to the engine (positive crankcase ventilation system, etc)? Thanks for the advise.
Chances are you cap wasn't tight and is now lodged between the frame and the tranny housing. Look there and you'll be able to get it out before it interferes with your shifting.

long as the motor didnt run dry your ok.
Everything is pressureized, but it should still be ok. Look for the cap like they have posted above.
