Default ZC Valve Adjustment

Either I suck at searching or there just isn't a lot of information on the board about checking valves on a ZC.
I followed jlicrx's instructions from thezcr.com for adjusting the valves on my ZC. How do I know if I did it right? It started up and ran halfway decently before, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of change now. I think I hear a little more noise, though, so I am really wondering whether I did it right.

It was completely cold. I used a 0.006" feeler on the exhaust and a 0.005" on the intake.
I looked at the rockers, of course, but I really don't know what they are supposed to look like. This is the first Honda motor I've ever taken the valve cover off of.
