Default engine bay help please comment...

I have a decision to make for my all motor ek.
I'm building the powerplant right now and while waiting for some machine work to be done I'm cleaning up the engine bay and making room for some accessories. Don't mind the scuff marks they will be gone once everything is fitted up, taken back off, then prepped for paint.

Look in the near future for a build up thread on this car, depending on replies reguarding poll...

1) MSD mounted vertically, definately has its pro's as to wiring the main harness somewhat hidden...?

2) MSD the rest are horizontily mounted but this one has my catch can horiz. as well.

3) Dr. side horiz. catch can.

4) Vertically mounted behind strut tower Driver.

5) Vertically mounted behind strut tower Pass.

6) Vertically mounted on side of strut tower Driver.

7) Vertically mounted on side of strut tower Pass.

Thanks for looking, I've got a good ways to go, and I'm keeping a/c due to the extremely high temps here in Louisiana. Repping the Dirty South:

How about mounting the MSD inside the car behind the glove box?

mounting the unit in the interior has been done before, but it's not ideal for cooling which doesn't make much sense to me, unless you were to put in say a glove box, but that's what MSD advised. You would think it would be loads warmer in the engine bay. I know I've seen them on the floor of some drag cars, but I've also seen them throughout the bay area as well. I'm thinking it will be sufficient where it's at, thanks for the input.

You should keep in mind the fact that you do not have a drain back feature on this catch can. Therefore, accessibility is a must in order to drain it manually. Also, my catch can fittings tend to 'sweat' over a prolonged period of time. Maybe, you should keep the can away from the MSD unit.

I like the location in picture #5. Goodluck with your build.

I mounted mine inside the car, but i have no interior. It sits between the shifter and the dash. Your keeping your ac, so i'm assuming your keeping the interior too I would make sure it's somewhere that it will NOT get wet though, regardless.
