Default wide rims, low offset?

i really want to get some work equip 01's...but i was thinking of 15x8 with a 25 offset, i know i would have to roll the fenders, but do you think i would have to cut em and put on flares? should i get a 15x7.5 or 7 and run a spacer instead?

You can run 15x8 +24 if you wanted to, but the trick is you will have to run streched tires to make it work.

I would like to know if anyone else ran this same setup at that offset, I would really love to do this with mine as well. I currently have 16x7 +35 offset and my fenders are also rolled yet still rubbing a bit on bumps

What kind of stretch are you saying? Maybe 195/50 15's?

I'd like to see some pics of an 8" wide wheel on a Fit with a decent offset.

Hi mate,
we all know that the fit is not a drift car
its a car that you fix up to drive on the streets
not to go drifting and go to a track!
its an every day car that you can fix up!!!!
and make it look good!!!

Isnt the Fit RWD??? Seriously though, if they want to put on 15x8 then let them. It is their car. There are worse things they could do to the Fit!

Would fender rolling help, too? (I don't know what the fenders are like on the Fits)

Shouldn't have a problem with 16x6.5 right? I think that is what the HFP's are. Just curious.

adding a spacer makes the offset even lower! NO you wouldnt add a spacer in this case.

most people run +38 and higher (+40, +42, +45) and have little to no rubbing issues.

anything lower than +38 with a 15x7 or 16x7 or wider rim WILL RUB! there isnt much fender to roll so it doesnt help (i know i had mine rolled and didnt do anything...im running +40 offset...only rubs with 2 adults sitting in the back).

15x8 +40 might work. gotta be careful you dont get too high an offset because you have to worry about the inside rubbing at that point not just the outside.

How safe is it to ride on stretched tires? How does it affect your ride?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "stretched" tires?? I've seen this a lot and still don't know what it is exactly.

its pretty much just running a smaller tire than recommended for the rim width, thus causing the tire to look (and it is) stretched to fit the rim. for a 7.5 width rim you could probably run a 225~235.....so running a 195 would stretch the tire on that width.

make sense
