Default Door pod help, should I seal it?

I am making a fiberglass door pod, its turning out way better than i expected b4 i started it.

anyways, im making the frame for it and im wondering should I make the pod sealed or should I leave the factory hole open? im making an indention there right now so it goes into the door but its closed off at the moment. I did that to make room for the magnet. if i decide to keep it closed.

so, the question is, should I leave it a sealed enclosure for my ALpine Type-R woofer speaker? or should I cut it open to the air inside the door?

Just a suggestion... Chances are that your enclosure it an obscure shape and will be prety hard to get the exact internal dimensions. Sence it is fiberglass and water wont hurt it here is what I did. Fill it up with water to the very top then just measure the water. ((1 US fluid ounce = 1.80468751 cubic inch)). You do the math.. Hope this helps man.

thanks, i was goin to do that allready when i get the enclosure done. I did this with my sub enclosures that i made out of fiberglass. i needed .75 cubic feet total and when i filled it up, it was literally hanging right at the enclosures rim when it was fileld up, i didnt think i could get it that exact.

hopefully i can get the door pod done tonight. i got the materials to finish it so i think ill work on it till i get ti done today

ill post pictures of it but either i choose to seal it or not, i made a very short tunnel goin into the coor(into the factory hole) out of fiberglass and attached it to the door pod so if it is open(if i decide to) it will be a shield for the water/moisture falling down oin the speaker
